So Ben + I decided today that we are moving out! Correction- I decided I would move out WITH HIM, hes been nudging me for a while! Should be an adventure - the first task is to save some cash to move out by November hopefully. WOW wild! Too many exclamation points I think... !!!! This week I start back at AVAM + I'm looking forward to it, also starting to work out at the Y- another new adventure for me. Excited for some FALL change. On another note, I talked to Jess today allllll the way in Brazil, crazy. Shes doing well, just roaming around + getting tan. I was glad to hear from her, its been a while. Oh + good luck to everyone who gets to go back to school, including DAN DAN- his last year in HS

So I'm working on some serious PAPER CRAFTS tonight. I made a humorous card for POP + then some book samples for upcoming classes at UKAZOO.
This is a lil INSTANT BOOK made from a page from a big dictionary that I have ( don't worry, its only like A thru L or something ). I think its cute + will be a warm-up for the Japanese Stab book.
I got a little more complex for this new IMPROVED Japanese Stab- I cut the end to make a hinge with some fancy paper. It obscures the direction of the OLD book, but it follows the tradition Japanese Stab book format so I like it. (YOU can sign up for my class, its going to be on WED SEPT 16 at 7pm - $20, just stop into UKAZOO in Towson.) I know I must be getting tired, but listening to Pandora Girl Talk radio seems to keep it up way longer then expected. Tomorrow its back to the Cupcake CO to practice icing cupcakes!
August is winding down

I cannot believe it is almost September. The summer has slipped through my fingers with minimal art making + LIFE progress. Is this just because its the summer, or am I getting a glimpse of my future? I hope its not the latter...! But I think with all my list-making, tomorrow I will get some things checked off- like making book samples for some fall classes at Ukazoo NEW DAY + TIME = Wed evenings Oooo + also working on a new planner for the upcoming months, library for another trashy thriller paperback AND looking into getting health insurance, ugh just makes me SICK just thinking about it.
If I could get something that I could afford I would be a happy bunny + could work all the random jobs I want (that generally don't include benefits!) The job at Cupcake Company is going well, I kindof have love/hate feelings toward it. I am going to start icing + decorating next week + that will make it a little better, not to mention that I need to stop EATING the cupcakes oh my LANTA. I need some beauty SCHLEEP.

SUMMER CAMP STARTS TOMORROW!! Can you tell how excited I am?? I feel like I've waited a whole year for it!!
Should be super fun. So we caught a mouse today- thanks to Felice's mouse catching karma (she caught one last night). At first I was excited because Mouse was beginning to become a nuisance, then I was sad to learn that he was actually just a BABY mouse- leading to the nauseous feeling that I have right now. I won't be able to sleep just thinking about his squeals for help. I think I need to learn how to deal with death, it really makes me anxious, even when it comes to rodents apparently.
July 4th weekend

So this weekend was SUPER fun- started off BRIGHT + early on SAT, Felice + I made it to work by 8 AM to help set up for pet parade. The pets rolled in by the dozen, for a total of (at least) 75 registered pets! Crazy! Biggest turnout yet so I hear! All kinds of pets! Big dogs, little dogs, fish, turtle + some stuffed animals. I had a fun time catching some rays while putting medals on all the pets. AND a little kitten meowed at me - what more could I ask for?!! Oh Pete's 4th of July PIE of course~

We all had dinner at Dads + then went to see fireworks at Loch Raven Academy. Later we set of bottle rockets + watched Dogs 101 show all night long. Overall a fun, tiring DAY! Today I have been super lazy, but hope to do some room cleaning before I crash for the night. Been watching another new FAVE show - 16 + Pregnant, a real eye opener for ANYONE really, who thinks they want a baby. Not me NO WAY, at least not while I'm living in my mom's basement. Oh thanks for the fish tonight MA!

So we worked hard this week on Baby Fifi! to get her ready for the big trip to NYC. Some of AVAM's art-ifacts will be featured in Bergdorf's fancy pants window + store!
Unfortunately, shes not looking like a baby AT ALL, she is almost as big as regular FIFI!
I mean, look at her head in comparison to that trash can. GEEZ. She is still awful CUTE + I love her just the same! Theresa has put her blood + sweat into this project literally. She's all banged up + there are blood drips on the back staircase.
We went to the BASEBALL game last night for Fastspot FUN NIGHT! And it was super fun- Ben has the best job ever!
AND the O's won!!!! Theres the birdy with his flag after the game GO O's!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I guess baseball game isn't so bad after all.

So today Steph + I went to Sykesville to visit Katrina, her cat + OF course her little baby bump! It was Katrina's birthday + we went to Panera + Twin Kiss, a sweet n cheap ice cream stand right down the road.

Speaking of ICE CWEAM, I got a part time job at Baskin Robbins offically. I start in July + will be working as an Assistant Manager of sorts. For some reason I'm not as excited now that I got the job, maybe because I don't start for several weeks- hopefully I will be excited by then. I think I really just want to make cakes + get paid decent money to do it. Tomorrow is the opening at TAC, them hopefully some El Salto with my Bean. Looking forward to a busy weekend!

Heres what I'm working on today! They look pretty fabulous for just being dog collars, I think.
Not sure if I'm really getting paid ENOUGH to do this, but some extra cash never hurts! Especially 2 weeks before the beaaach! Last weekend was party city- Friday we went to Cheesecake Factory for Linds's birthday, nothing like a 10 dollar cocktail to knock you on your ASS! Its expensive compared to my favorite restaurant, El Salto, but our waiter + tuxedo cheesecake made it all worth it!
Sat I worked in the AM + Jenny's grad bash in the evening. It was the BEST. Orange crushes are my new favorite summertime drink! It was basically Scotts Haven reunion, super fun to catch up + share my life story- thank you mom + dad for keeping it interesting! Did I mention that I LOVE Jen's relatives? + Mindi Geppi?!

I'm back! Graduation was Sunday + such a blur + at the same time seemed to go on forever. Everything was so FABULOUS though, family, FACULTY, friends all in one place! After graduation we went to Pappas for seafood + cosmos mmmm. In the days since then I went back to work + took down my show- both which were kindof depressing. Like now what??? I guess now its TIME TO PARTY.
